The global real-world issue of human-generated trash, polluting local bodies of water, is the main focus of this hands-on session. We need to create the next generation of STEM leaders by solving real-world problems using the engineering design process. We will focus on the growing problem of handling waste and how we can design solutions to minimize its impact on the environment.

In the session, participants will experience the entire engineering design process.

This will include identifying the problem, developing and then implementing potential solutions.

Participants will reuse single-use plastics - plastic water bottles, straws, spoons, bags and design a working model for trash removal.
